BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Bexar County Clerk Lucy Adame-Clark will be conducting free mass wedding ceremonies on the steps of the Bexar County Courthouse on Valentine’s Day.

While the ceremony is free, there is a suggested donation of $20 to help benefit The Battered Women’s Shelter and the Bexar County Family Justice Center.

Couples should obtain a marriage license 72 hours prior to the ceremony they choose to attend, unless:

  • An applicant is a member of the U.S. armed forces and is on active duty; or
  • The applicants complete a premarital education course approved by the state of Texas and provides the course completion certificate to the County Clerk; or
  • A judge waives the waiting period for good cause.

All ceremonies will take place on the north side of the courthouse at 100 Dolorosa St. The ceremonies will be held on Friday, February 14, at the following times:

  • 12:01 a.m.
  • 10 a.m.
  • Noon
  • 2 p.m.

Marriage licenses can be obtained from the Bexar County Clerk’s Office on the first floor of the Paul Elizondo Tower at 101 W. Nueva St., Suite 120.

The fee for a marriage license is $81 and both applicants must provide proof of identity and age as well as their Social Security numbers. The Clerk’s Office is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
