RALEIGH, N.C. -- The two state troopers who were filmed beating a homeless Raleigh man have been fired.

  • Troopers Michal Blake and Tabitha David were fired Friday.
  • They were filmed beating Kyron Hinton in April
  • They are still facing charges. 

The State Highway Patrol announced Friday that Troopers Michal Blake and Tabitha David have been terminated effective immediately.

The troopers were two of the three law enforcement officers facing charges in the event.

Deputy Cameron Broadwell is also facing felony assault charges.
 
29-year-old Kyron Hinton said he suffered a fractured eye socket and broken nose when he was beaten by the officers and bitten more than 20 times by a K9 on April 4.
