An arrest warrant has now been issued for the Florida teen accused in connection to his grandmother's death.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says it plans to charge Logan Mott with murder in the death of Kristina French.

Mott remains in Buffalo after a hearing to send him back to Florida was postponed until Wednesday afternoon.

The 15-year-old was picked up by U.S. Customs and Border Protection last Friday after making an illegal U-turn on the Peace Bridge while trying to cross into Canada.

Shortly after, officers learned he had a warrant out of Neptune Beach, Florida, where police say he stole his grandmother's car.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office then let Customs know Mott was also a person of interest in his grandmother's death.

The sheriff's office says local law enforcement have been made aware and are working on coordinating his extradition.
