The Albany Police Department on Wednesday released the summer schedule for speed zone camera enforcement now that Albany schools is letting out for summer break.
Drivers are reminded to use extra caution in and around school zones, even during summer months, when students still attend youth programs, sports and summer school sessions.
Remember, the speed limit in school zones is 20 mph and drivers must yield to pedestrians. Violators can face a $50 fine. Here's a look at the speed zone cameras operating over the summer and where and when they will be active.
- Albany High School, 700 Washington Ave., 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. July 9-Aug. 18
- Albany Leadership Charter School, 19 Hackett Blvd., 7 a.m.-4 p.m. July 9-Aug. 18
- All Saints Academy, 10 Rosemont St., 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 30-Aug. 29
- Blessed Sacrament School, 605 Central Ave., 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 20-Aug. 8
- The Albany Academies, 135 Academy Road, 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. July 9-Aug. 7
- Thomas O’Brien Academy, 94 Delaware Ave., and Hackett Middle School, 45 Delaware Ave., 7:30 a.m.-5 p.m. July 7-Aug. 7
- Myers Middle School, 100 Elbel Court, 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. July 7-Aug. 7
- Albany School of Humanities, 108 Whitehall Road, 7:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. July 7-Aug. 15
- Pine Hills Elementary, 41 North Allen St., 8 a.m.-1:30 p.m. July 7-Aug. 1
