GREENSBORO, N.C. – Thousands in Greensboro still don't have power. According to Duke Energy, some won't get it back until Thursday and some residents believe their needs are being overlooked.

Cecelia Willamson has lived in the Bessemer neighborhood for more than three decades and says she's never seen destruction like this before.

"It looks like a war zone, it's horrible. Trees are everywhere, houses are damaged and I don't feel like we are getting the assistance we should be getting." Williamson says.

Sunday, an E-F 2 tornado left Williamson with no power. She and her neighbors still wonder when their community will get some help.

"They need to put emphasis on the entire area that's been effected, not just certain areas." she says

Even though the city has several rescue areas, Williamson says it's hard to get out of her house.

Greensboro councilmember Sharon Hightower is working with organizations to set up feeding stations in areas that aren't getting a lot attention, like Heath Park.

To help the city identify these underserved areas, you are asked to call the city's line at 336-373-2489. Safety leaders also say you're encouraged to call 911.
