ATLANTIC BEACH, N.C. -- Adam Snyder, the fire and EMS chief for Atlantic Beach, has died after a snow skiing accident.

  • He was in the hospital with critical injuries Saturday until he was pronounced dead Monday.
  • Snyder was at the Wintergreen Resort in Virginia with his family when the accident happened.
  • A GoFundMe has been set up to assist the family.

Snyder was at the Wintergreen Resort in Virginia with his family when the accident happened.

Snyder, 47, was a Marine Corps veteran and 20-year member of the Atlantic Beach Fire Department.

He served the past 15 years serving as chief.

Funeral arrangements will be made by Munden Funeral Home on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Crystal Coast Civic Center in Morehead City.

GoFundMe has been set up to assist the family.
