A man is dead after a shooting on Clinton Avenue Saturday night, the Albany Police Department said.

Officers said they were on patrol when they spotted Darryl Smith, 33, firing a gun in the middle of the street toward a home.

He was arrested after officers ordered him to drop the gun.

Police said they found Irving Lamboy, 19, shot in the back of that home.

He was taken to the hospital and later died.

Officials said a 33-year-old male is also at the hospital with non-life threatening injuries, believed to be hurt from the same shooting.

Smith is charged with reckless endangerment and criminal possession of a weapon.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
