Horrific. That's what Governor Andrew Cuomo called the video of the Rochester Police Department's encounter with Daniel Prude in March.

He commented about the incident for the first time on camera, saying he wants to know how police first investigated the incident, which was later ruled homicide by the medical examiner.

"I think one of the questions we have to find out is, how was this first handled by the police department to suggest that it was basically a health issue and was not a death by caused by the actions of police officers? Which, by the way, is going to be an ongoing discussion, right? The police are going to say what they said, 'it wasn't us.'"

The state's attorney general has empaneled a grand jury in her investigation into Prude's death.

Prude's death has led to daily protests, which have continued in Rochester for six straight nights.
