KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. — SpaceX successfully launched its third mission of the year on Monday night, sending a a Falcon 9 rocket with another batch of 49 Starlink internet satellites from Launch Complex 39.

This liftoff had an instantaneous launch window that opened at 7:04 p.m. EST, but before the time came officials announced that the launch time would be moved to 9:02 p.m. EST.

Originally, the launch was going to take place on Monday evening, but SpaceX tweeted out that it would hold back a day for better weather.

 
Once the stage separation takes place, the Falcon 9’s first stage will land on the droneship A Shortfall of Gravitas that is stationed in the Atlantic Ocean.
 

Just this weekend SpaceX founder Elon Musk tweeted that there are 1,469 active Starlink satellites, providing internet access around the world.
