CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police are investigating a shooting in the University area.
The shooting happened Monday night behind the Walmart on North Tryon Street just west of UNC-Charlotte.
One person sustained serious injuries.
Police have taken a suspect into custody and say they are cooperating.
No identities have been released at this time.
It is unclear what motivated the shooting.
